Details: Responsibilities:1. Schedule all routes for drivers, as well as provide directions/maps if needed. Be aware of licensing requirements and which drivers hold certain license (i.e. CDL Class A, Class B) 2. Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs on trucks and equipment as required, including scheduling for general maintenance. 3. Work with the Warehouse Manager to train new drivers on department procedures. 4. Compare service options when maintaining trucks. 5. Report trucks needing repairs to the Warehouse Manager. 6. Reconcile all billings from Vendors on truck repairs/maintenance. 7. Ensure all drivers stay current and abide by all DOT regulations. 8. Coordinate DOT compliance program for vehicles. 9. Plan and facilitate driver meetings 10. Work collaboratively with volunteers and staff. 11. Attend Staff Meetings. 12. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with Agencies, Food Donors and other people involved in ending hunger. 13. Assist in keeping trucks and equipment clean and in good working order.
